LETTER TO THE EDITOR.
FOR PUBLISHING
Dear Sir,
The police commissioner and his team need to be complimented for not taking certain measures by his department to smoothen traffic.
Autos, presently, are allowed to carry up to eight children to school and back. Of course, they have to display a yellow flag. They should be allowed to carry up to sixteen children. For this they could be asked to display an extra green flag. This would help children at an early age to socialize and “some how learn to adjust”. Looking for yellow flag or yellow and green flags would make the motorists slow down the traffic speeds and hence “ there would be no need for helmets”.
The cyclists should continue to be allowed to use the roads at nights without lights or rear reflectors, with due consideration to them since lights are an expensive proposition which they may not afford. This would again reduce the traffic speeds and hence “there would be no need for helmets.
The bus stops should continue to be located at street corners and close to traffic lights. The new ones, being made, should also be similarly located. The bus drivers should continue to stop the vehicles at the middle of the road. This would lead to traffic slow down and hence “there would be no need for helmets.
Auto drivers should continue to be allowed to run the vehicles without tail lights or rear reflectors. This would make the motorists to slow down and “there would be no need for helmets”.
With all this, the helmet rule could be modified to allow the two wheelers to carry one helmet in the vehicle and not necessarily wear the same. This would make every one happy. The government to have implemented the helmet rule, the helmet manufactures since they would still sell the helmets and lastly the two wheeler drivers since they don’t need to wear the helmet.
MERA BHARATH MAHAN.
Yours truly,
Ayakad.S.N., V.V.Mohalla, Mysore, |
